The Great Family Campout

Have you ever wanted to camp but didn’t know how?

Would you like to try camping but don’t have the gear?

Are you looking for a close-to-home, affordable adventure with your children?

Do you love camping and want to enjoy it with your family?

We have a fun opportunity for you, literally in our backyard!

May 2-3, 6pm-10am

Rain date: May 16-17

GABC backyard

Cost: a donation the day of the event to cover food costs

Boy Scout Troop 795 will be on hand to help families set up tents and teach basic camping skills. Ask questions and learn more about

• food safety

• what to take

• where to go

• basic camper skills

We’ll grill out for dinner and the next morning, we’ll enjoy breakfast together. Restrooms will be available all night. And because it’s in the backyard, you have the flexibility to go home if it just doesn’t work out for your children.

This tradition has become a great evening for our families to play outside together in the comfort of our backyard!

Please bring your own sleeping bag, clothes, and hygiene items.

Children will be under the supervision of parents or guardians during the entire event.
