Youth at Glen Allen Baptist Church

Glen Allen Baptist Church Youth Group

For youth grades 6-12, our purpose is simple:

To love students

To connect them to God

To nurture a faith that will sustain our youth for the rest of their lives

Who we are

Our youth represent all types of family structures, races, genders, interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. The body of Christ is diverse and every single student is uniquely and beautifully designed by God and so every single student is welcome here - just as they are.

Weekly Events

Sunday MOrning Bible Study & Worship

From 9:15-10:15 every Sunday morning, our youth gather in our Third Floor Youth Room to learn about God’s story that is found not only in the pages of the Bible but in the work God is doing in the world around us. And we will learn how WE get to be part of God’s story.

Following Bible Study, we head to the sanctuary to worship with our church family.

Wednesday Nights

Join us on Wednesday Nights as we explore our gifts and talents and discover how they connect us to the work of our church and the work of God in our community. We start with dinner for the whole family at 5:45 in the Fellowship Hall and from 6:15 -7:15 we can be found all over the church building learning about God’s work in the world.

Second Sundays

On the Second Sunday of each month, the youth group will gather right after church for lunch and a time to play and grow together in community. Invite your friends. 11:30-1.

Annual Events

  • Each fall, the youth go on a weekend long retreat. Our retreat is a healthy mix of rest and play, building community and growing in our faith together.

  • This weekend retreat, usually in March, focuses on missions. CBF Virginia selects a community in Virginia and youth from across the state come to work, serve, and spend time in community and worship.

  • Each summer, our youth spend a week at Passport Camp. Passport Camps empower students to have fresh encounters with God, embrace community, and extend grace to the world.
