Discipleship Report

Thanks to everyone who attended the Prayer Walk for our ministries last Wednesday night and to the Deacons who led it. If you were not able to make this event, you can still join in on this effort.  There are Prayer Guides in the Welcome Center and Fellowship Hall so pick up one and join us.  Today’s Challenge: Pick up a 2nd copy and find a prayer partner to join with you in prayer for our Worship, Bible Teaching, Missions and Discipleship Leaders as well as for our Deacons.  We’ll look at repeating this event in the future as well as going to places in our community to prayer for Glen Allen.

  • The Youth went to dinner at BW3’s and went to Escape Room RVA last week.  A big thank you to Gwen Carlson, John Tonello, and Allen Jenkins for chaperoning the trip.  We had a group of 18 attend and we had a wonderful time of Fellowship and Fun.  We are excited about doing more Escape Rooms in the future.
  • The Youth will be going out to dinner and either going to a movie (depending on what is showing) or laser tag on Friday, February 22.  As always, we can use some chaperones for this trip.  The last day to sign up with B.J. is Sunday, February 17.
  • King’s Fest will be on Thursday, June 20.  This will be our 6th consecutive year going to King’s Fest.  We always have a wonderful time of fellowship and worship during this awesome event.  So that we may obtain good seats again for the concerts, please let B.J. know by Sunday, February 10th if you plan on attending.
