Historical Homecoming Worship Service, Sunday, April 29

Historical Homecoming Worship Service, Sunday, April 29.  “Here is the church. Here is the steeple. Open the doors! See all the people!” The classic Sunday School rhyme reminds us that a church is more than just a building. Yet, our Glen Allen Baptist Church building has an important story to tell of our 150-year history. Join our worship service on Sunday, April 29th for a multi-media event highlighting the growth of our church through time and the rich legacy left behind by so many of its occupants.

Worship Service will be followed by dinner on the grounds.  The committee is requesting that the Sunday School Classes bring the following:  3G’s Class – Desserts; Genesis Class– Desserts; Faith & Fellowship Class– Deviled Eggs; Ruth Fidelis Class – Deviled Eggs

Commemorative Plates, Trivets, and Notecards

Commemorative Plates and Trivets are being offered to celebrate our 150th Anniversary.  Each of these items will have a single color illustration of our church on the front and the 9 ¼” plates will have the church’s history fired on the back. The 6”x 6” square trivets will have cork backing so the history cannot be applied to them. Display stands for the plates will also be available for purchase. These items make wonderful gifts for yourself, your family, or anyone who has a special place in their heart for Glen Allen Baptist Church. The plates will be sold for $15, the trivets for $10 and the plate stands for $3. Proceeds from the sale of these items will go toward the Building Fund loan balance. Sign Up sheets for those interested in purchasing any of these items will be placed on the table just outside the fellowship hall and in the Welcome Center until 5/31/18.   Please contact Kelda Flinchum with any questions, at kelda116@verizon.net.
