Reckless Love – led by Eric Mawyer

Reckless Love: Jesus’ Call to Love Our Neighbor has been a transformative study for a few of our church family already. In the study, Tom Berlin challenges readers to consider how loving our neighbor deeply transforms our lives and draws us closer to God. We will be challenged to consider who our neighbors are and how we engage them with the love of Christ.

Meeting time: Wednesdays at 6:15pm in the room 311

Prayers from the Desert - led by Dawn Lee

In the summer of 1990, Maurice Graham, a missionary with the International Mission Board, moved with his wife and two sons to Kuwait. In just a few short days, everything changed when Saddam Hussein’s army invaded. Laurie and the boys were soon on their way back to the United States, but Maurice was held hostage until December of that year. This is the story of the family’s journey, and especially how Maurice used the spiritual disciplines he had practiced for many years in order to get through the most difficult period of his life.

Participants will read several chapters of the book each week in preparation for group discussion of the historical significance, the personal experiences of the Graham family, and what those experiences can mean to each of us.

Meeting Time: Wednesdays at 6:15pm in room 312

The Sermon Beyond the Pulpit – led by Rusty Lee

Each week, Dr. Fallen asks three questions following each sermon:

·         What have I learned today?

·         Why is it important?

·         How will I apply it this week?

Rusty Lee will guide a discussion about the previous week’s sermon. We will talk about what we have learned and what points need further discussion.

Meeting time: Wednesdays, 6:15pm in room 305
