1/10/17 Church Family Night Dinner and Program

Wednesday, January 10, 2018, our Church Family Night Dinner and Program will be at 5:45 p.m.  Cost of supper is $5/pp, $1.50 per child and a maximum of $15 per family. Please join us for good food and fellowship!  We will then have a program on “Suicide Prevention – Talk Saves Lives” will be led by community member Shirley Ramsey.  She is the chairperson of the Virginia Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  She is a survivor of suicide loss of multiple family members.  Since the loss of her 16-year-old son in 2010, she has been committed to bringing awareness and suicide prevention programs to our communities and strives to provide support for those touched by suicide.  Shirley holds an MEd in Counselor Education from VCU.  She hopes to bring you knowledge that engages our communities in being smart about mental health and encourages safe communities for all.  Please join us for this educational program.

On the same evening (January 10), a new Bible Study group will begin in the Faith and Fellowship Classroom at 6:30 PM. The group will focus on reading and discussing the word of God on a regular basis (schedule to be determined after the first meeting). We will start with the book of Matthew and see where that goes. Come ready to read and discuss!  Please contact Allen Jenkins with any questions.
