Youth Missions

Our church youth participates in numerous missions activities throughout the year.

The first Sunday of every month the youth group travels to downtown Richmond for TOP, or Teens Opposing Poverty.  Before leaving church they prepare coolers of food.  Once in downtown Richmond the food is handed out to those in need.

In addition, the youth travel away from the area for overnight mission trips.  Past trips have included travel to Alabama to rebuild communities damaged by tornadoes and trips to places such as Washington, D.C. to build houses for Habitat for Humanity.

This year the youth have dedicated their energy to raising money to build a clean water well in Africa.

Each year youth attend Passport, a national non-profit student ministry that is the first summer program to combine a youth trip and a mission trip into a week of camp.
